• 17 January (Saturday) 2009 - Jazz in the Park - Free concert presented by the The City of Joondalup. Food and drinks will be available for sale, plus free children’s rides and activities. 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Mawson Park, Flinders Ave, Hillarys. For further information phone 9400 4705.
   
• 24 January (Saturday) 2009 - Perth Blues Club Mardi Gras - The event is fully-licensed and features 13 acts on three stages, including Eugene 'Hideaway' Bridges, The Zydecats, Victoria Newton Rick Steele Band and many more. Patrons are encouraged to dress up. 12:00pm to 12:00am at the Charles Hotel, North Perth. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster and other outlets.

• 26 January (Monday) 2008 - Beach Handball - Presented by Handball West. This event is free for spectators but player registration is $5. 8:30am to 12:30pm at the Scarborough Beach Amphitheatre. Players can register by calling Anthony on 0439 949 917 or Rikke on 0412 177 657.
