• 5 June (Friday) 2009 - World Environment Day commemorated each year on 5 June, is one of the principal vehicles through which the United Nations stimulates worldwide awareness of the environment and enhances political attention and action.

• 8 June (Monday) 2009 - Queen's Birthday. Public Holiday all states except WA. (see AU school and public holiday dates)

• TBC June 2009 - Blue Water Country Music Festival, Port Stephens See Port Stephens.  Held 2 hours north of Sydney, 'where the Country meets the sea'.  40+ venues in Port Stephens hosting over 200 Country Music artists, many on the water.

• TBC June 2009 - See Change Music Festival.  Held in Jervis Bay, 2.5 hours south of Sydney. 2 weeks of events celebrating local artists. 
   
• TBC June 2009 - Winter Magic Festival Katoomba and Surrounds - See Katoomba.  Diverse festival celebrating arts.  Displays, parade and stalls. 
   
• TBC June 2009 - Bake Off - the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation's longest running community event.
   
• To be confirmed 2009 - Connells Pt Public School 75th Jubilee - Inviting all former pupils, their families and the local community to celebrate their 75th jubilee throughout 2009. The school will host a Spring Fair, plus a gala dinner dance and a number of smaller family oriented events to commemorate the anniversary.
