• 7 & 8 November 2008 - The Marvellous Ms Doody's Extraordinary Array of Affordable Art - A showcase of oil and watercolour paintings and handmade toys from 14 artists and children's illustrators. There will be art activities and portrait-painting on the Saturday. Claire Richards will exhibit her original illustrations to celebrate the publication of a new picture book, A Little Bit (see more about the book at BCL Books). This event is for children and grownups. Friday 7 November at 6:00pm; Saturday 8 November from 10:00am to 6:00pm at Ballroom 11, Carclew House, 11 Jeffcott Street, North Adelaide.
   
• 7 to 9 November 2008 - SA Arabian Championships - Championship show for Arabian horses and Arabian horse derivatives at the Adelaide Showgrounds.
   
• 8 November (Saturday) 2008 - Credit Union Christmas Pageant - Help break the Guinness World Record for the longest and largest Mexican Wave at the pagent's Making Waves event starting at 8:45am - registration forms can be downloaded from the website or filled in on the day. The Pageant itself starts at 9.30am on the corner of King William Street and South Terrace, Adelaide.
   
• 8 November (Saturday) 2008 - Gawler Barossa Tractor Pull - Supporting the Gawler Rotary Club. There will also be a ute muster, amusements, and the event is licensed (no eskies allowed). Adults $20, 12-18 year olds $10, under 12 free. Gates open at 10:30am for a 1:30pm start at the Kapunda Paceway, Hancock Rd. Kapunda.
