• 3 September (Wednesday) 2008 - Wednesdays @ 1 - Christie Anthoney, Director of the Adelaide Fringe Festival will speak on books that have been important in her life. • 5 September (Friday) 2008 - Footy Colours Day - Wear your team's colours to work or school to raise money for the Back on Track program, which offers tailored tutoring for children living with cancer. Register your school or workplace on the website.
   
• 5 to 13 September 2008 - Royal Adelaide Show begins on the first Friday in September each year.
   
• 6 September (Saturday) 2008 - Fundraiser Sale - Free Book Exchange, Green Fashion Exchange and lots of items to purchase. All proceeds go to the Vegan Festival.  9am - 3pm, Carew St, Reynella.

• To be confirmed 2008 - Lunch For Leukaemia - Get together for lunch with friends, family or workmates to raise money for the 30,000 patients and their families living with leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders. The Leukaemia Foundation is the only national not for profit dedicated to the care and cure of patients and families living with these diseases.
   
• To be confirmed 2008 - National BBQ Day takes place in backyards all over Australia raising funds for Variety, The Children's Charity, which is dedicated to improving the quality of life of sick, disabled and disadvantaged children. 
   
• To be confirmed 2008 - National Blood Donor Week Blood is needed every single day by cancer patients, people with heart disease, people with kidney, stomach and bowel disease, for new born babies, for mums in childbirth and for burns and accident victims.
