- Animal Welfare League Australia
- The non-profit organisation requires
volunteers
to help care for stray and abandoned animals.
- Amnesty International Brisbane City
Group
- Brisbane State Emergency
Services (SES)
- Careflight Rescue QLD -
An emergency air medical rescue service provided 24/7, at no cost to
patients. Careflight requires volunteers for general office
administration, assistance with events, donation tin placement and
collection in local shops and businesses, and charity BBQs.

Edmund Rice Camps
Edmund Rice Camps provide
recreation-based camps for children aged 6-16 years who are
disadvantaged in some way. Volunteers provide one-on-one support to
children.
- Gap Creek
Trails Alliance - Meet on the second Saturday of each month to
maintain sustainable trails particularly on the mountain bike trails in
Mt Coot-tha Forest.
- Get
Involved - A Queensland government website with information about
volunteering and getting involved in government. The site also has
information on the Queensland Young Volunteer Awards.
- Guide
Dogs Queensland - Needs
volunteers for special events, fundraising, administration, general
boarding and more.
- Help Enterprises - A
community-based, non-profit organisation established in 1968 by
Rotary to assist in the support of people with disabilities. The group
operate from five sites in the greater Brisbane area and employ a fully integrated
workforce of nearly 200 disabled and able-bodied people in a variety of
industries.
- Meals On Wheels
- Mount Olivet Community Services
- Health & Aged Care. Looking for
volunteers
to read and write letters for patients, as escorts, in administration
and more.

Nepal Australia Friendship
Association - (NAFA) is a Brisbane based non-political, non profit
organisation dedicated to assisting the poor and needy of Nepal. The
group aim to assist communities and individuals with projects that
improve the quality of life and provide hope for the future. (link not

- Queensland Meals on Wheels Services
Association Inc - A community service organised to help the frail
aged, younger disabled and their carers to live in the community where
they are happiest - in their own homes.
- Radio 4EB - Ethnic Broadcasting.
- Rebuild - Self-help
support group for men who are experiencing depression or mental
illness. The group do home maintenance jobs at members' homes and
also seek to serve people in the community, working alongside other
community groups, such as local churches.
- South
Passage gives young people aged between age 14 to 17 the
experience of a traditional sailing ship. South Passage is a 100 foot long, gaff rigged schooner. Most of our voyages are with high school groups, though many youth organisations also sail with us. Our voyages qualify for the Duke of Edinburgh's Awards.
- Technical Aid to the Disabled, Qld Inc.
- (TADQ) TADQ volunteers make aids that are not commercially available,
or are too expensive for individuals, by volunteers. TADQ work with
individuals, Special Schools or any genuine person in need of a gadget
or an aid for their lifestyle.
- Volunteer Marine Rescue Brisbane
is a not for profit marine rescue organization operating in the Moreton
Bay area
- Volunteering Queensland Inc - Click on "Volunteer job opportunities" to search volunteer

- Volunteer Refugee Tutoring
& Community Support Program (VoRTCS) - A non-profit,
volunteer-run organisation sponsored by the St Vincent de Paul Society.
VoRTCS is based in South Brisbane and operates over a large area of
South East Queensland including Brisbane, Logan and the Gold Coast.
VoRTCS aims to assist and empower refugee families in Australia.
- Wesley Mission Brisbane - An outreach of the Albert Street Uniting Church, is one of Brisbane's longest-established welfare ministries. It provides care and comfort and support to thousands of men, women and children through a network of Aged Care facilities and community services throughout the greater Brisbane region.
