Businesses supporting communities

Business philanthropy is now practised by major national and international corporations, as well as local and small businesses who recognise the importance of investing in communities.  It is one dimension of corporate social responsibility.

Corporate and business giving may mean making a cash donation, encouraging staff to organise fundraising events, creating volunteer opportunities for staff, or providing in kind or pro bono support to community organisations.
