  We're not exactly a café and not quite a restaurant. That said, the emphasis at bookplate leans more toward the café style. That means we don't take reservations, we keep the atmosphere relaxed and we have some lounges and armchairs for when the going gets really rough. We serve great coffee and a range of food throughout the day including daily blackboard specials, sandwiches, salads and a great variety of cakes. We use a Piazza D'Oro blend supplied to us by the locally owned and operated Canberra Coffee Company. The blend is a medium dark roast which is full of taste and character, delivering a good strength of coffee that's soft and harmonious, has excellent body and a silky texture. The bookplate staff are specifically trained in coffee making and take great pride in their coffee making skills.
