Katherine, Northern Territory
Katherine is the fourth largest town in the Northern Territory on the
beautiful Katherine River. It is a regional centre to an area as big as the state of Victoria,
and provides services to communities from the WA border to the Gulf of the NT.
Katherine is 320 kilometres south-east of Darwin on the junction of the
Stuart Highway linking with the north and south and the Victoria Highway
to Western Australia.
The magnificent Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge National Park is only 30kms
from the town plays and is one of the premier tourist attractions of the
