- Throughout June, July, and August 2010 - MS Readathon - The annual readathon aims to encourage reading while raising awareness and funds for Multiple Sclerosis. Participants will read for 30 days at any time during the three month period. To take part in the challenge visit the website (see also No School Today: Fundraising Activities).
- National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week
- Jeans for Genes Day - Wear your jeans and make a donation to the national children's charity Jeans for Genes. The annual event raises funds for children with genetic disorders (see No School Today: Fundraising Activities).
- The National Careers & Employment Expo - Darwin - The Expo aims to link employers, education and training providers with potential candidates.
- Garma Festival - A festival organised by the Yothu Yindi Foundation. Includes an academic forum, the craft of spear making, field trips and more. The festival site at Gulkula is approximately 40 kilometres from the township of Nhulunbuy.
- National Science Week - Various events around Australia. Visit the website to register or find an event (for science groups and links in the Northern Territory see BCL Science).
- RSPCA Cupcake Day: registered RSPCA Cupcake Cooks across Australia will descend on their schools, workplaces and social groups with batches of scrumptious homemade cupcakes to be exchanged for donations to the RSPCA.
- Darwin Fridge Festival: Darwin Community Arts aims to produce a unique, adventurous and distinctly Darwin community festival at Malak. This Festival would involve the whole Darwin community, engage an array of artists (visual artists, performers, graffiti artists, photographers) as well as bring a sense of identity to the central Malak precinct. The event is the Darwin Fridge Festival. Yes Fridge. The humble fridge is a Darwin icon, and Darwin Community Arts wants to explore its possibilities as an art and cultural centrepiece.
- Hearing Awareness Week - Annual, national event which raises community awareness about hearing loss and ways to protect hearing.
- Daffodil Day - Support the Cancer Council Australia by buying a bunch of daffodils or Daffodil Day merchandise, volunteering at a merchandise stall, selling merchandise at your workplace or school, or making a cash donation. All funds raised support cancer research, prevention programs and support services for cancer patients and their families (see also No School Today: Fundraising Activities).
- Legacy Week - The funds raised from this year’s Badge Appeal will help Legacy continue to assist 120,000 widows and 1,900 children and people with disabilities Australia-wide.
