1 July (Monday) 2013 -
Territory Day- On the first of July each year, Territory Day marks the
commencement of self government in the Territory on 1 July 1978. The day
is celebrated with fireworks, including the famous Territory Day
fireworks at Mindil Beach. This is the only day of the year, apart from the Chinese New Year, when fireworks are permitted.

28 July 2013 (Sunday) - National Tree Day
- Community tree planting event organised by Planet Ark. To get involved or
find your nearest site, check the website. Friday 26 July 2013 is Schools
Tree Day.
Camel Cup
Alice Springs - An annual camel racing competition. Admission
is $15 for adults, $5 for children 12 to 16, and free for children under
12. Gates open at 10.30 am at Blatherskite Park, Alice Springs.
Darwin
to Ambon Yacht Race - The race starts in Darwin Harbour and finishes in Ambon Harbour, Indonesia.
Lingalonga Festival
- Celebrating Territory culture with food, dance, live music, crafts,
children's activities and more.
Cancer Council Call to Arms
- An annual, national event to raise funds and awareness of cancer,
a disease that effects 1 in 2 men by age 85. Host a Call to Arms match
where the players in your sporting club wear a yellow armband in a show
of support to men who have survived cancer, those currently facing the
cancer fight and to remember mates who have lost their lives to cancer.
All funds raised go to the Cancer Council.
