• 1 August (Friday) 2008 - Gift of Life Gala Dinner presented by the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation. A fundraiser for the Gold Coast Health Service District to fund projects and equipment. • 2 August (Saturday) 2008 - 2008 National Conference on Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome - Topics include: missing link to healthy weight, Gastric Banding options, techniques for removing excess hair, assisted fertility options, low fat cooking, portion control, menopause and PCOS, and PCOS and insulin resistance. • 18 August (Monday) 2008 - Cupcake Day for the RSPCA - Grab your cupcake ingredients, dust off your chef's hat and get your mixer ready. • 22 August (Friday) 2008 - Daffodil Day - support the Cancer Council Australia by buying a bunch of daffodils or Daffodil Day merchandise, volunteering at a merchandise stall, selling merchandise at your workplace or school, or making a cash donation.
