NAIDOC Week

NIDA tours Queensland - NIDA on Tour provides access to
expertise in theatre, film and television, by bringing short courses to
capital cities and regional centres across Australia. In 2008 NIDA tours
Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Toowoomba these Winter holidays with weeklong
and weekend courses for adults and young people. For more information

The Grand Tour
- Tour the world in the lap of luxury with the Gold Coast Philharmonic
Orchestra and Conductor Mark Turpin. Experience orchestral music which
will evoke images of Italy, Russia, Europe and England. 7.30 pm, Gold

Cancer Council Fundraiser: Movies and More Trivia Night - Come
dressed as your favourite movie star, prizes for the best dressed.
Sausage sizzle from 6:30pm, $2 a sausage. BYO drinks and nibbles. $10 a
head, organise a table of 8, or come as an individual or a smaller
group. 7:30pm, Studio Village Community Centre, 87 Village Way,

Union - all past players and supporters welcome. Games to be
played all day and Anniversary Dinner 7pm till late. Entertainment,

- 19 and 20 July 2008 - The 5th Annual Kokoda Challenge is a cross-country bushwalking team
event where teams of 4 people trek a 96km course through the Gold Coast
Hinterland within a 39 hour time limit. Funds raised from this event
finance the cost of the
Kokoda
Challenge Youth Program.
