March 2012 Events on the Gold Coast 

March is the beginning of autumn/fall according to the calendar but its still hot and sunny on the Gold Coast. Queensland (Coolangatta and northward) does not use daylight saving (summertime), whereas NSW (Tweed Heads and south) do.

• 1 March (Tuesday) 2012 - Business Clean Up Australia Day - A day where Australian businesses can help make a difference to the environment, and engage staff in a community based activity.
   
• 6 March (Sunday) 2012 - Clean Up Australia Day - Individuals and groups can register to clean up their local park, beach, bushland, and streets.
   
• 8 March (Thursday) 2012 - International Women's Day 2011 is the  International Women's Day Centenary
   
  
• 17 March (Saturday) 2012 - St Patrick's Day - See Themes for Parties for St Patrick's Day decorations and costumes .  

• 30 March (Friday) 2012 - School Term 1 ends in Queensland state schools - (See AU school holiday dates.)
  

• 31 March (Saturday) 2012 - Earth Hour - Switch off your lights from 8:30pm to 9:30pm to send a message about climate change. Held each year on the last Saturday in March.
