• Throughout November 2009 - Movember - Grow a moustache or beard this Movember and raise funds and awareness for men's health.
   
• Throughout November 2009 - Mater Healthy Start - Take up a healthy habit for the month of November and ask your friends, family, and work colleagues to sponsor you to stay on track. Funds raised will go to patient care and medical research at the Mater Hospital Brisbane. To take part in the challenge register online.
   
• Throughout November 2009 - A River in Bali - An art exhibition by Paul Macdowell featuring watercolour, pen, and ink drawings of the Badung River in Bali. Open Monday to Friday from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm at the Royal Queensland Art Society Gallery, 25 Broadbeach Boulevard, Broadbeach.
   
• 2 November (Monday) 2009 - Miss Nikola and Her Gentlemen - Presented by the Gold Coast City Jazz Club. Nikola plays the trombone, the bass trombone and the tuba. Tickets are $15 for members, $18 for sharks members, and $20 for guests. 7.00 pm at Southport Sharks, Cnr Musgrave and Olsen Ave, Southport.

• 13 November (Friday) 2009 - Forget-Me-Knot Day - The inaugural national day in support of adult survivors of child abuse. Hosted by Adults Surviving Child Abuse (ASCA), an organisation that campaigns on behalf of those affected by child abuse. Visit ASCA to make a donation.
   
• 13 November (Friday) 2009 - Where East Meets West (pdf flyer) - A fundraising fashion parade featuring designs by Australian Muslim designers - modest styles with a western influence. • 26 November (Thursday) 2009 - Movie World Dinner - Presented by Hands Across the Water to raise funds for Baan Nam Khem in Thailand, which was affected by the Boxing Day Tsunami in 2004. The event includes a three course meal, drinks, Movie World rides, and entertainment. Tickets are $150 or $1500 for a table of 10.
