• 16 October (Saturday) 2010 - Gold Coast Lapidary Club Annual Open Day - There will handicrafts for sale as well as demonstrating by members. 9.00 am to 4.00 pm in the clubrooms at 80 Pacific Ave, Miami.
   
• 16 October (Saturday) 2010 - Gold Coast Writers' Association Monthly Meeting - The Gold Coast Writers’ Association meets on the third Saturday of every month at Fradgley Hall, Burleigh Heads Library, Park Ave, Burleigh Heads. Time is 1.30pm for 2pm. Guest speakers; book launches; authors’ readings, plus afternoon tea. $4 members; $7 non-members.

• To be confirmed 2010 - Teddy Love Club Field of Angels Appeal - The Teddy Love Club provides support for bereaved parents, family, and friends who have suffered the loss of their baby to miscarriage, stillbirth, genetic induction, or neonatal death. Each October, TLC hosts the Field of Angels Appeal to ensure the continuation of their support services. Visit the website to make a donation.

• To be confirmed 2010 - Ramsay Health Care Triathlon Pink - A women's only triathlon, raising funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

• To be confirmed 2010 - Young Filmmakers Festival Queensland - The event aims to encourage all Queenslanders under the age of 18 to have a voice through film. There is no entry fee for the competition, awards night or festival.
   
• To be confirmed 2010 - Gold Coast Rose Society Annual Show - With displays of champion roses, floral art, a digital photo competition and displays from the Gold Coast Orchid Society and the Gold Coast Bromeliad Society.
