• The Blenders national champion a'cappella male chorus rehearses on Mondays at the Gold Coast Youth Orchestra Building, Community Drive, Ashmore from 7.15pm. Its 90 members range in ages from 12 to 86 and are from all walks of life. They have 20 members under the age of 25 and would like to recruit more in this age bracket. If you enjoy singing and having fun come along to see what they do, without obligation. Enquiries 5575 7250. 
• Help U Care have recently opened their Community Drop-In Centre and Op-Shop at 29 Margaret Street, Southport. You're welcome to drop in for some friendship, a free cuppa and you might even find a great bargain in the Op-Shop! We also offer free food hampers, practical assistance for families in crisis, T.L.C. visits to the elderly or housebound, free budgeting advice and much more.
