• 1 to 10 August 2008 - Melbourne Stencil Festival An exhibition event of local and international street and stencil art featuring emerging and established artists. The festival includes a variety of additional activities including live demonstrations, workshops, master classes, floor talks and films. 
   
• 18 July to 3 August - Pen to Pixel: 100 Years of Design Education at Swinburne - Swinburne University of Technology's Faculty of Design will present an exhibition celebrating the work of outstanding designers, media practitioners and graduates. Chapel Off Chapel, 12 Little Chapel St, Prahran.
   
• 3 August (Sunday) 2008 - Knox & District Toy Library Baby, Kids & Toy Bazaar - good quality preloved items including clothes, toys, cots, prams, manchester and books. Cash only. • 7 August (Thursday) 2008 - Vic Pitch '08 - a pitching competition for Victorian-based projects and businesses to communicate their investment opportunity before a panel drawn from a variety of financial and business backgrounds. • 8 to 16 August 2008 - Be a Little Less Stupid - comic revue of songs, sketches and cautionary tales about the stupid things we all say and do on public transport, then later regret.
