Throughout February 2010 - Zoo Twilights - Australian artists including Kate Cebrano, James Reyne, Diesel, and more will perform at twilight at Melbourne Zoo.
17 January to 7 February 2010 - 21st Midsumma Festival - Melbourne’s gay and lesbian arts and cultural festival. This annual festival celebrates the pride and diversity of Victoria's lesbian, gay and allied communities.
1 February to 7 March 2010 - Corporate 2020 Cricket Series - The competition will feature up to 16 corporate teams sourced from Melbourne companies and businesses. Qualifying matches will be played at Fawkner Park on Monday and Friday afternoons from 5.15 pm with each team playing a minimum of 4 games during February. The Series will culminate in a Finals Day to be held on Sunday March 7th over the Labour Day Long Weekend.
2 February (Tuesday) 2010 - Swinburne Postgraduate City Session - An opportunity to meet industry experts (Swinburne teaching staff) and find out what can be expected from postgraduate study at Swinburne. Course-specific information sessions will run from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm in the RACV Building L2, 501 Bourke St, Melbourne. 5 February (Friday) 2010 - Soi Dogs Movie Fundraiser Night - The founders of the Soi Dog Foundation John and Gill Dalley will also be attending the Australian premiere. 5 to 7 February 2010 - Melbourne International Boat & Lifestyle Show - The annual boat and lifestyle show also includes the Rock the Boat Music Festival. Artists will play from 11am until late. Entry is $15 for adults, $8 for concession and children under 16, and $35 for a family. NewQuay and Waterfront City Precincts, Docklands.
6 February (Saturday) 2010 - New Zealand (Waitangi) Day Celebrations - New Zealand's annual celebration of the signing of the Waitangi Treaty.
6 February (Saturday) 2010 - Opera in the Park - Performances by some of Melbourne's finest operatic artists in the beautiful surrounds of Victoria Gardens. The is one of the highlights on the Stonnington event Calendar.
6 to 14 February 2010 - St Kilda Festival - Celebrating its 30th year in 2010, the St Kilda Festival is a free event held along the St Kilda foreshore. 7 & 8 February 2010 - Tognetti's Mozart - Presented by the Australian Chamber Orchestra. Featuring works by Mozart, Haydn, Schubert, and Grieg. 9 February (Tuesday) 2010 - The Governor-General, the Entertainer and a Tale of Two Vexatious Litigants - Presented by the Royal Historical Society of Victoria. Lawyer and insurance historian, Dr Simon Smith, will trace the stories of two vexatious litigants who were busy in the courts between the 1930s and 1980s. The lecture is free for members and $5.50 for non-members. Tea and coffee will be served from 5.15 pm and the lecture is from 5.45 pm to 6.45 pm at the Royal Historical Society of Victoria, 239 A Beckett St, Melbourne (enter via William Street). 20 February (Saturday) 2010 - Footsteps of a Nobody - Produced by the Aspinauts Players in Association with Walking Into Bars, Footsteps of a Nobody is a one woman rock-musical both written and performed by Donna Williams, author of Nobody Nowhere; Autobiography of an Autistic Girl. The story is told through song, characterisations, gestural signing, evocative spoken word, and is musically supported by the band, The Aspinauts.
