Throughout June, July, and August 2010 - MS Readathon - The annual readathon aims to encourage reading while raising awareness and funds for Multiple Sclerosis. Participants will read for 30 days at any time during the three month period. To take part in the challenge visit the website (see also No School Today: Fundraising Activities).
28 May to 19 June 2010 - The Threepenny Opera - Presented by Victorian Opera and Malthouse Theatre. Set in 1920s Berlin and based on John Gay's The Beggar's Opera. Performing at the Merly Theatre, CUB Malthouse. For tickets contact Ticketmaster on 136 100.
4 to 6 June 2010 - Good Food and Wine Show - At the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
5 June (Saturday) 2010 - World Environment Day - Commemorated each year on 5 June, it is one of the principal vehicles through which the United Nations stimulates worldwide awareness of the environment and enhances political attention and action.
6 & 7 June 2010 - Romantic Symphony - The Australian Chamber Orchestra performs Brahms’ Symphony No. 1 and Schubert’s “Unfinished” Symphony, plus an Australian premiere by Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood. 12 to 14 June 2010 - Model Expo 2010 - The expo includes a national open plastic model competition. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children and concession, and $20 for a family. Open Saturday 12 June from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm and Sunday 13 June and Monday 14 June from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm at the Sandown Entertainment Centre, Sandown Racecourse, Princes Highway, Springvale.
