• 31 October to 3 November 2008 - Maldon Folk Festival - Family festival featuring music, dance, and theatre. In the country town of Maldon, north-west of Melbourne.
   
• 31 October to 3 November 2008 - Wangaratta Festival of Jazz
   
• 2 November (Sunday) 2008 - Ramsay Health Care Triathlon Pink - all women's triathlon series in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Swimming, cycling and running legs for all ages and fitness levels. For entry details see website.
   
• 4 November (Tuesday) 2008 - Melbourne Cup Public Holiday Melbourne metro only (see AU public holiday dates and see our special Melbourne Cup page for links, accommodation, party venues and more)
   
• 7 to 9 November 2008 - Spring Dance Weekend - Workshops by experienced teachers include Irish Set and Céilí dances, Playford, Cajun and Jitterbug. Dances on the Friday and Saturday nights. Everyone welcome, partners not needed. No experience necessary as all dances are taught and called. $65 for the weekend or come for the day or 1 session. Foreshore Community Hall, Portarlington. • 11 November (Tuesday) 2008 - Remembrance Day
   
• 22 and 23 November 2008 - Hobsons Bay Relay For Life - Relay for Life is an 18-hour, overnight team event to raise funds for the Cancer Council Victoria's cancer research, education and support programs. Get together 10 or more friends to form a team, do some fundraising and come along to the event. Team members take turns to keep their baton moving overnight. Entertainment, camping and spot prizes. • 28 to 30 November 2008 - Queenscliff Music Festival

• TBC November 2008 - Mildura Jazz Food & Wine Festival Contemporary and traditional jazz served with regional food and wine in Murray River locations with beautiful Mildura springtime weather.

• TBC November 2008 - Wangaratta Festival of Jazz - an annual festival of jazz and blues held in the town of Wangaratta 2.5 hours from Melbourne in North East Victoria, Australia. It has become the premier jazz event in Australia and is renowned internationally.
