This office facility is a collection of deluxe enclosed offices, located in the heritage Northern Steamship Company building at Britomart. Commissioned by the Northern Steamship Company in 1888, this two-storey building was officially opened on 19 May 1899. It cost £6000 and is one of the few surviving buildings designed by architect Arthur P Wilson. Located on reclaimed land opposite the wharves and near the railway station, it was the ideal home for this coalition of shipowners and businessmen. All the exposed brickwork is original and recycled timber has been used from buildings elsewhere in the precinct. The window joinery was restored by craftsmen on-site and the original main Quay Street doors were restored off-site and reinstated.The interior has been completely refurbished with a bespoke interior, alluding to maritime heritage and modern design. This space boasts a stunning bar & lounge area, containing informal meeting spaces and a Moa Beer bar. Moa is available on tap and bottled, as well as a carefully selected wine list, and fresh barista coffee is available throughout the day.
