  • The Food Show - Auckland - An annual showcase of gourmet food from top local and international chefs. ASB Showgrounds (see Auckland).
     
  • The New Zealand Affordable Art Show - Popular with artists and art buyers alike and encourages New Zealanders to celebrate their identity and culture by buying local art. TSB Bank Arena, Wellington.
     
  • The Free Ski Open NZ - A free ski event, featuring a heli-accessed big mountain competition, superpipe at Snow Park and chutes at Treble Cone.
     
  • Tough Guy and Gal Challenge - An off-road running event open to both male and female competitors 13 years and older. The course includes swamp crossings, a rope climb, crawl under barb wire, native bush trails and natural and man-made obstacles. (in Rotorua).
     
  • National Country Music Awards - Hosted annually by the Kiwi Pro-Am Country Music Organisation Inc. 7.30pm at the Founders Theatre, Hamilton.
     
  • Fallout Festival - Two weeks of music, media and mayhem in the Mt Ruapehu district. Be entertained by some of New Zealand's best talent at night to compliment your great days skiing or snowboarding on New Zealand's best slopes.
     
  • Christchurch Arts Festival - (See Christchurch).
     
  • Winter Games New Zealand - The ten-day long Games also include plenty of off-snow activities for spectators and athletes with live music and entertainment in downtown Queenstown and Wanaka.
     
  • Whitianga Scallop Festival - An annual scallops, food and wine festival held on Whitianga Harbour.
     
  • Coromandel Classic - The 11th annual Coromandel Classic is a multisport event for athletes. The race begins in the town of Thames.
