Business Groups and Contacts in North Queensland

Business groups are an excellent source of information for new and established businesses.  Chambers of Commerce provide networking and business lobbying for local areas. 

• Cairns Chamber of Commerce
• Townsville Chamber of Commerce
• Mareeba Chamber of Commerce

Queensland state government and local government offer business services and advice for business on the Gold Coast.

• Smart Small Business website operated by the Queensland Dept of Tourism, Regional Development and Industry is a central source of business information, licensing and regulation requirements, and advice. 
• Local government offers business assistance and administers local business and planning regulations.  See the Local Government Association of Queensland site for links to local council websites.

Area Consultative Committees (ACCs) are non profit, community based organisations funded by the Federal Government and managed by committees of local business and community leaders.  They're a good source of information for business people.
