Kuranda on the Atherton Tablelands

Kuranda is a small town surrounded by a rainforest on the Atherton Tablelands/Cairns Highlands, approximately 25km from Cairns.

If you're holidaying in Cairns, make sure you take a detour to Kuranda.  The world famous Kuranda scenic railway and Kuranda skyrail are must-sees.  We recommend going up on the train and down on the skyrail for the best of both worlds.  Also near Kuranda is the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park, another world-famous experience.
