  Mission Beach is located about half way between Townsville and Cairns, in Far North Queensland, Australia. It is a sparsely populated area, and the landscape is largely taken up with World Heritage-listed rainforest and farming land. Mission Beach is part of the Wet Tropics, which means it has high rainfall levels and is almost always green. There is a remarkable freshness about Mission Beach; a close link to the natural earth in its most beautiful form. Just off the coast is Dunk Island and the Family Island group. There is a resort on Dunk Island; we can arrange the ferry or water taxi if you want to visit. Buses arrive in town, only 100 meters from our place.
