• 2 October (Friday) 2009 - Jeans for Genes Day - Wear your jeans and make a donation to the national children's charity Jeans for Genes. The annual event raises funds for children with genetic disorders. (See No School Today: Fundraising Activities.)

• 2 to 4 October 2009 - Kulin Bush Races - The 15th annual races include an art and craft show, gymkhana, horse races, live entertainment, fireworks and children's entertainment.
   
• 26 September to 3 October 2009 - Perth Royal Show - 9.00am to 9.00pm at the Claremont Showground.

• 8 October to 8 November 2009 - Mountain Designs Bibbulmun Team Challenge - The Bibbulmun Track Foundation is recruiting for teams to compete in the Team Challenge. The Challenge involves sixteen teams battling it out in activities over four heats along the Bibbulmun Track. The Challenge is also a major fundraiser for The Bibbulmun Track Foundation with all proceeds dedicated to the ongoing sustainability of the track. • 10 October (Saturday) 2009 - Pink Ribbon Ball 2009 - A fundraiser for The Cancer Council WA hosted by Momentum Forum. The event includes a gourmet dinner and a raffle. Tickets are $225 per person or $2100 for tables of 10. 6.30pm at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
   
• 10 October (Saturday) 2009 - Northampton Airing of the Quilts
   
• 26 September to 11 October 2009 - The Web - This play by Kate Mulvany is a contemporary mystery about a friendship that goes wrong between two young men in a fictional regional town in Australia.
