• 8 October (Wednesday) 2008 - Morning Melodies - Youth Ballet WA - Monthly concerts for the young at heart. Concert goes from 10.30am to 11.30am followed by morning tea in the theatre foyer where you will have the opportunity to meet the day's performers. Tickets $19 include morning tea, book online or phone 9484 1133. His Majesty's Theatre, 825 Hay Street, Perth.
   
• 9 October to 9 November 2008 - Mountain Designs Bibbulmun Team Challenge 2008 - 16 teams compete in four heats along Western Australia's 1000 km Bibbulmun Track.  Each four-day heat covers approximately 60kms, with participants camping out and bushwalking with full backpacks for 15km per day. Although teams are self-sufficient, training and support will be provided. All proceeds dedicated to the ongoing sustainability of the Bibbulmun Track.

• 12 October (Sunday) 2008 - 4WD Convoy fundraising trip for SIDS and Kids - driving from Lakeside Joondalup to Perth Motorplex along the Mitchell and Kwinana freeways to raise money for SIDS and Kids WA.
   
• 14 October (Tuesday) 2008- School Semester 2 resumes WA schools (Australian school holiday dates)
   
• 1 September to 16 October 2008 - Tiwest Night Stalk - a national citizen-based spotlight survey to determine numbers and distribution of Australian native species and feral pests. Anyone can do it, all you need is a torch and a sense of adventure. See the website for instructions and a spotter's log.
   
• 17 October (Friday) 2008 - Swan View High 1978 Year 10 Reunion - (See BCL Reunions)
   
• 17 to 19 October 2008 - Designbuild - design and building expo at Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre, 21 Mounts Bay Road, Perth.
   
• 18 to 19 October 2008 - York Jazz and Soul Festival offers a range of music and entertainment to suit all tastes as well as family friendly fun. Held in the streets and venues of historic York. Phone the York Visitors Centre on (08) 9641 1301.

• 28 October to 2 November 2008 - Festival of Country Gardens - Set in the picturesque towns and countryside of the inland South West of WA.

• To be confirmed 2008 - St. John of God Foundation Golf Day Held at the lush Melville Glades Golf Club, this annual event always provides a great day of golf and networking opportunities. This is a fantastic corporate golf tournament with plenty of great competition.
