• 1 to 30 September 2009 - Oxfam's Exchange for Change - Australian women are invited to host a clothes exchange at any time in September to raise funds for Oxfam Australia. Swap clothes that you no longer wear, love or need to raise funds to help fight global poverty.
   
• 1 to 28 September 2009 - Kings Park Wildflower Festival - An annual month-long event including native wildflower displays, bird walks, a Friends of Kings Park plant sale, live music, workshops and more.
   
• 3 September (Thursday) 2009 - Australian National Flag Day - The 108th birthday of the Australian Flag. It was first raised on this day in 1901.

• 11 to 27 September 2009 - Pool (No Water) - A drama presented by the Black Swan Theatre Company. Inspired by a true story, this play is about a successful artist who hosts a pool party for her old friends, only to be met with a terrible accident. • 13 to 16 September 2009 - Aged & Community Services Australia 2009 National Conference & Exhibition - The theme for this year is, Get Up, Stand Up. Perth Convention Exhibition Centre.
   
• 15 September (Tuesday) 2009 - Dinner with Kirsty Gusmao - A gala dinner to raise money for East Timorese education scholarships. The chef will be Vince Garreffa. • 16 September (Wednesday) 2009 - Light the Night - At twilight, friends, families and co-workers will take part in a walk to raise funds for patients and families living with leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders. The event aims to remember, celebrate and bring hope to support Australians with blood cancers. Participants of Light the Night carry illuminated balloons to represent their journey. 5.30pm to 8.30pm at Foreshore Reserve, Riverside Dr, Perth.
   
• 17 to 20 September 2009 - Chittering Wildflower Festival - With craft demonstrations, a wildflower photographic competition, wildlife, face-painting and more at Bindoon Hall.
   
• 18 September (Friday) 2009 - St Vincent De Paul Annual Street Appeal - Annual Street Appeal to raise funds for emergency relief. Volunteers are needed to help collect, contact St Vincent de Paul Society on 08 9475 5414.
