Reflections Respite Centre. The expo aims to increase community

- The 10th annual multicultural festival includes
international food stalls, community information stalls, cultural
performances, an art exhibition, art and craft, dancing, drumming and
more. The festival will be held in various venues around the Sunshine
Coast and culminates in an event at the University of the Sunshine
Coast.

Hearing Awareness Week
- Annual, national event which raises community awareness about
hearing loss and ways to protect hearing.

Daffodil
Day - Support the Cancer Council Australia by buying a
bunch of daffodils or Daffodil Day merchandise, volunteering at a
merchandise stall, selling merchandise at your workplace or school, or making a
cash donation. All funds raised support cancer research, prevention
programs and support services for cancer patients and their families. (See also

- 29 August to 13 September 2009 -
Festival of the Walks
- Organised tours will be available for rainforest and mountain
walks in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. There will also be food and entertainment in the
town centres of Maleny and Montville. (See Maleny.)
- 30 August to 5 September 2009 -
Legacy Week
- The funds raised from this year’s Badge Appeal will help Legacy continue
to assist 120,000 widows and 1,900 children and people with disabilities
Australia-wide.

annual migration and extended stay of the humpback whale to the calm waters
