Surfside Backpackers Bondi Beach
(from Hostelbookers)
35a Hall Street, Sydney (Bondi Beach)
Surfside at Bondi Beach is Bondi's original & best backpackers. Lonely Planet said "with a relaxed & easy going vibe this is probably the best backpacking option in bondi
From Central Station: Go downstairs to platform 24. All trains from this platform go to Bondi Junction. Once at Bondi Junction follow signs to Bondi Beach buses. Take the 380 bus to Bondi Beach. Jump off at the Hall Street traffic lights. Walk down the right hand side of Hall Street about 50 meters to the Commonwealth bank and we are next door. Press the buzzer and come on in! From Airport: First is the bus which is cheapest, but not by much. Take 400 bus from Sydney International or Sydney Domestic terminals to Bondi Junction interchange. Change to 380 bus to Bondi Beach. Jump off at the Hall Street traffic lights. Walk down the right hand side of Hall Street about 50 meters to the Commonwealth bank and we are next door. Press the buzzer and come on in! Second is the Eastern Suburbs shuttle bus (0500 881 113), this is the best choice. They will take you from Sydney International or Sydney Domestic terminals direct to Indy?s at Bondi Beach. It?s quick, they have a flat fee so won?t/can?t rip you off. If you wish you can call us when you land from the backpacker?s board for free and we can call the shuttle for you. Sometimes this is easier as you never know how long it takes to collect luggage and clear customs. Once they drop you off outside press the buzzer and come on in! Third and most expensive is to take a taxi. If there are three or more people it pays to use the taxis but beware of poor drivers who get lost and large fares. Tell taxi driver to take you to the post office on Hall Street, Bondi beach and we are opposite. Press the buzzer and come on in!
