must be 18 to 65 and not currently on medication. The study will
evaluate the patient's depression and associated treatment. This will
include clinical assessment, brain function testing and collection of a

Intensive Care Foundation.
Every day, life-saving miracles are performed in Intensive Care Units in
hospitals across Australia and New Zealand. In any one year over 170,000
people, including 6,000 children, are admitted to Intensive Care due to a
life threatening accident or illness. Of those patients, 85% will survive.
Medical research in the area of Intensive Care is vital as knowledge can
mean the difference between life and death. The Intensive Care Foundation
supports Intensive Care Research, patient/family programs and professional
