Sydney Community Groups

• Balmoral Beach Social Club  The BBSC is a group of residents in the 2088 postcode with annexes to specific areas of the Lower North Shore (and one or two from the dark side of the harbour). Basically a group where friends can get get together and meet regularly.
   
• Centrehouse is a not-for-profit Community Arts & Leisure Centre providing Adults and Kids classes including printmaking, pottery, painting & drawing, languages, yoga, pilates and bellydancing.
   
•  Get a Life is a site where all social events are created by the members themselves. Here you can meet people and form friendships by joining several local groups and activities, anything from bush walking, to theatre visits, to Friday drinks to dinner dates.
   
• East Sydney Neighbourhood Association covers the area between the Sydney CBD and the suburb of Darlinghurst in the east. It is usually defined as the area bounded by Williams St, Forbes St, Oxford St and College St. It is in the 2010 postcode area, which also includes Darlinghurst and Surry Hills.
   
• Friends of the Earth Sydney 
   
• Friends of Pyrmont Point In June 2003 Pyrmont residents formed a community organisation called Friends of Pyrmont Point. These people came together to fight the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authorities plan to hand the former Water Police site over to developers. The site, on Elizabeth Macarthur Bay is about 1.8 hectares and is one of the few remaining pieces of publicly owned foreshore land in Sydney.
