31 March & 3 April 2010 - Sydney Philharmonic Choir 'Ode to Liberty' - Sydney Philharmonia Choirs will launch its 90th anniversary year with Ode to Liberty, a diverse and daring concert beginning with the 4th movement of Beethoven’s Symphony No 9 in D Minor. The members of Sydney Philharmonia will perform Anna Akhmatova’s Requiem for the first time for the opening of their 2010 season at the Sydney Opera House. Tickets: $45-$80 (conc. and booking fees apply).
27 March to 4 April 2010 - Australian International Tango Festival - The sixth annual Tango Festival is open to all skill-levels. Dances will be taught by Argentine Tango teachers from Buenos Aires.
18 March to 17 April 2010 - Feelgood - A comedy about the black art of political spin. Alistair Beaton’s play is set on the eve of the British Labour Prime Minister’s speech to the party faithful at its annual conference. As anti-capitalist riots rage in the street below, conniving and obsessive press secretary Eddie and his young speech-writing sidekick Paul are frantically working to craft some inspirational and entertaining words for their leader to spout. 19 March to 19 April 2010 - Run With the Law - The inaugural 2010 Run with the Law fun run aims to promote equality, acceptance and friendship of people with an intellectual disability. Join police officers as they take the 'Flame of Hope' through 40 cities across six states and territories in 29 days to support Special Olympics Australia, the charity that transforms the lives of people with an intellectual disability through regular sports participation and social inclusion. Register to run a full leg, half leg or last 100 metres in any of the 40 events across Queensland, New South Wales, ACT, Victoria, Tasmania, and South Australia.

12 to 17 April 2010 - Fox - Produced in association with Siren Theatre Co. Suitable for 8 years and up. Magpie is injured in a bushfire but she discovers that riding atop her friend, one-eyed Dog, as he runs through the bush, feels almost the same as flying. Fox arrives and tempts Magpie with an even faster ride. Desire, loyalty and friendship become confused and after an exhilarating ride, Fox dumps Magpie far out in the desert. Abandoned and alone Magpie begins the long journey home. Tickets are $18. Performing at the York Theatre, The Seymour Centre, Cnr of City Rd and Cleveland St, Chippendale.

Speakers from vast backgrounds will be discussing how to build resilience in four specific areas: the workplace, schools, in the community, and culturally. Half day workshops in all four streams will be held on day 2. Confirmed speakers include: Professor Tim Sharp from the Happiness Institute, Lyn Worsley from the Resilience Doughnut, Ingrid Poulson from Steadfast Training and more to be announced.
