• Biennale of Sydney
• Byron Bay Writers Festival is held the first weekend in August each year. Set in the glorious grounds of the Byron Bay Beach Resort, the marquees, which make up the Festival site overflowed with crowds who were there to enjoy listening to their favourite writers and engage in conversations about books and all the major issues of the day. A sell-out event, the Byron Bay Writers Festival three-day pass is the hottest item on the literary calendar.
• City Recital Hall Angel Place This finely tuned recital hall with a capacity of 1238 seats is an internationally important, purpose-built venue for the performance of all kinds of musical performance. The hall has been designed for quality of sound, to enhance enjoyment of audiences, soloists, chamber ensembles, chamber orchestras, contemporary bands, popular musicians and the spoken word.
• Dragon Boat Festival
• Glebe Music Festival 
• Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre in High Street Penrith provides a focal point for performing arts activity in the Western Sydney Region.
• Newtown Festival
• Pinchgut Opera Chamber opera offering an intimacy and immediacy not found in the more elaborate productions of grand opera.
• Queer Screen is the presenter of the Mardi Gras Film Festival, Sydney's annual lesbian & gay film festival, which is held each February as part of the Sydney Gay + Lesbian Mardi Gras Arts and Cultural Festival. Queer Screen also presents queerDOC, the world's first film festival dedicated entirely to queer documentaries each Spring.
