  • 10 May to 14 September 2008 - Flying Boats - This exhibition explores Sydney's golden age of aviation, an era when air travel was new, exciting and glamorous. Featuring photographs, posters, film, models, a recreated cabin, a flying boat engine and personal stories.  Free with museum entry. 9.30am – 5pm daily.   • 27 August to 27 September 2008 - Richard Green Exhibition: Wild Places - Artist and helicopter pilot Richard Green has photographed parts of Australia never previously captured on film. This exhibition showcases his large-scale landscapes of Australia - from the wide open skies of the Central Deserts to the heat-scorched Top End and the wind-stripped Tasmanian Wilderness.   • 10 to 27 September 2008 - Kumamoto Artpolis: Architecture Through Communication - Presented by the Japan Foundation. A worldwide travelling exhibition that features 73 images and sketches of outstanding architecture. Accompanying events including a public forum and a talk by Professor Tom Heneghan.
     
  • 18 September to 7 October 2008 - Mono No Aware Exhibition by Marcella Kaspar - Geisha Girls, Japanese landscapes and Eastern philosophy - this exhibition blends Marcella's travel impressions with her trademark flower paintings.
