Tours in the Australian
Rainforests
The ancient Daintree Rainforest, on the coast of Far North Queensland, is more than 110 million
years old, possibly the oldest rainforest in the world. Daintree is 111km north of
Cairns.
You can also see rainforests further south. Brisbane's closest rainforest is at Mt Glorious. Mt Tamborine is equally
accessible from Brisbane and the
Gold Coast. Also in the
Gold Coast hinterland is the popular O'Reilly's
and Lamington National Park
