Kyabram is in the centre of the Goulburn River Valley, between Shepparton and Echuca, and 200 kilometres north of Melbourne.

Kyabram is the Campaspe Shire's second largest town and provides retail, commercial, industrial and community services in the eastern part of the Shire. Kyabram is also an important service centre providing health services with a hospital, aged care, ambulance and dentists for the area.
