Bluewater Festival runs during Easter week with main events Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday. It includes the start of the Brisbane to Gladstone yacht race, an art exhibition and much more.
Boonah Arts Festival – Presented by the Boonah Arts Collective.
Brisbane Festival – A multi-arts festival held annually in September featuring international and Australian artists. The festival also incorporates Riverfire, a fireworks display over the Brisbane River.
Gem and Jewellery Festival – Hosted by the North Brisbane Lapidary Club.
Greenfest – The festival takes place on World Environment Day each year and aims to promote awareness and action for a low carbon economy. Also includes live music and film.
Mountains to Mangroves – A biennial regional arts and environment festival that celebrates the connection between the north Brisbane community and its natural environment.
Music by the Sea – Includes music, spoken word, magic and theatre. Various venues in Sandgate.
Peaks to Point Festival – Celebrating Brisbane's southern region, from Flinders Peak to Moreton Bay. The festival aims to raises awareness of the eco-systems within the area, through arts, cultural and environmental events and activities.
The Queensland Choir (was the Queensland State and Municipal Choir) performs with The Queensland Orchestra, various other choirs and a host of guest artists every year. It also presents its annual series of concerts to an audience of thousands at venues in Brisbane and surrounding areas. See the website for concert details.
