A Chorus of Women – “Our presentations incorporate story, drama, dance and the visual arts to complement the songs. The material is original and responds to the issues that concern us – most recently climate change.”
Canberra Blues Society – A not-for-profit collective of individuals who are passionate about the art of traditional and contemporary blues music. The Canberra Blues Society also aims to provide regular music jams, blues events and blues-related social activities for the enjoyment of its members.
Canberra Boys Choir – includes the Preparatory Choir (aged five and over) and The Chorale (aged ten and over).
Canberra Mandolin Orchestra – Aims to bring together players of mandolin, mandola, mandocello, mandobass, guitar and double bass. The orchestra play folk music from Australia, the Mediterranean and the Celtic nations, classics, film themes and more. Rehearsals in Woden. New members welcome.
Canberra Recorder and Early Music Society – CREMS is a society of recorder enthusiasts in the Canberra region. We enjoy playing both early and modern music on recorders of all sizes from the tiny sopranino to the large contrabass. We offer playing opportunities including recorder orchestras, large ensembles and workshops led by professional tutors as well as informal gatherings of players led by any interested member. Many of our members have formed their own small consorts and ensembles. We can also facilitate contact between members who would like to play small groups.
Maruki Community Orchestra – A community symphony orchestra devoted to musicians from our community, regardless of level of skills, age, or experience in a positive and encouraging environment. Rehearsals at Belconnen Community Centre GYM, Swanson Street Belc.
Monaro Folk Society promotes folk music and dance. Learn bush dancing or bush dance. Come to bush dance classes every Monday night (except during school holidays), bush dance and first and last Saturday of the month and learn bush music
