North Canberra – the “Inner North”

North Canberra or Canberra's inner north is one of the oldest parts of Canberra on the north shore of Lake Burley Griffin. Suburbs include Canberra City, otherwise known as Canberra Civic, Acton, Ainslee, Braddon, Campbell, Dickson, Downer, Hackett, Lyneham, O'Connor, Pialligo, Reid, Russell, Turner and Watson.

As well as city centre business, the Australian National University, Canberra Theatre Centre, the National Convention Centre, the National Museum, and the Casino are in North Canberra.
