Volunteer Groups in Darwin & NT

Volunteers are always needed and it is a quick way to make friends and learn new skills.

  • The Alice Springs Masters Games are held every two years attracting over 4,400 competitors from across Australia and overseas, competing in 34 sports. The Games have earned a reputation as being Australia’s friendliest masters competition. See the site for information about volunteering.
  • Bushfire Volunteers – Receives funding from the NT Government and support services through the Bushfires Council NT, with volunteers undertaking a variety of tasks aimed at preventing and fighting wildfires.
  • Cancer Council NT  – Numerous roles available for volunteers.
  • St John Ambulance Northern Territory – Needs volunteers to provide first aid at sporting, entertainment and community events and to also assist the Ambulance Service as crew members.
  • Volunteering Territory – Training and support as well as lobbying and advocacy.
