On this personalized photography workshop in Hobart you will discover some hidden photographic gems in the foothills of Mt Wellington, and then shoot a magnificent sunset from the Eastern Shore, as the city skyline sparkles into life under the imposing backdrop of Mt Wellington. Designed for beginner to intermediate photographers, a digital SLR and tripod is essential (tripod can be supplied), as the workshop will bring out the best of you and your camera. We will discuss tips and techniques to improve your image taking while in the field in some truly beautiful locations. This is a self drive workshop. Start time is approx 3 hours prior to sunset. Starting from Hobart's waterfront we head to the summit of kunanyi/Mt Wellington for spectacular views across Southern Tasmania including an elevated look over the beautiful city of Hobart. After soaking in the views we experience Tasmania's ultimate downhill bicycle ride – 1272 metres to sea level. Along the way, this 21 km guided journey captures contrasting landscapes from sub-alpine and mountain rainforests to the vibrant waterfront of Hobart. For the more adventurous an optional off-road section is available. This tour is suitable for anyone who can confidently ride a bike and a strict minimum height of 150cm applies.
