3-Day Cradle Mountain Photography Workshop, Hobart
Cradle Mountain is always a rewarding Tasmanian photography tour. Highlights of this 3 day workshop include two sunsets and two sunrises at Dove Lake; wildlife, including Tasmanian Devils up close at the Devils@Cradle park. You will also shoot rustic mountain huts including Waldheim Chalet and the picture perfect boat shed on Dove Lake. There are many beautiful rivers and waterfalls deep in the myrtle and king billy rainforest, and you will spend your days immersed in this ancient environment. A post-processing tutorial is also included, and if conditions allow you will do a night session at Dove Lake. Finally, the stunning Liffey Falls is included on the return trip to Hobart.
Half Day Cradle Mountain Canyoning: Lost World Canyon, Cradle Mountain
Float and walk through a beautiful section of river and see the world from the point of view of a platypus. The Lost World Canyon offers a truly unique way to experience Tasmania’s Wilderness World Heritage Area. This tour is all about getting up close and personal with nature. Available to participants aged eight and up, it is not aimed at the adrenaline junkie, but some jump rocks up to three metres high and other challenges spice things up. Some of the highlights include seeing 1000-year old pencil pine trees and hearing the story of James Philosopher Smith – the legendary first canyoner at Cradle Mountain.
