Henley-on-Mersey

After a three-year hiatus, the Henley on Mersey Festival is back at Bells parade, Latrobe on 26th January 2024.

Henley-on-Mersey is held on Australia Day each year.

Ferret racing, a highlight at Henley-on-Mersey, creates great excitement and anticipation amongst the audience but is also steeped in tradition when ferrets were used to farm rabbits.

Plus land boats, archery, wood chopping, egg throwing, a Hurdy Gurdy and the Great Aussie Cherry Spit Competition!

Latrobe is on the central northern coast of Tasmania, just 8 km south-east of Devonport on the Bass Highway.
