Melbourne Browncoats a place for fans of Joss Whedon's television series Firefly and movie “Serenity”, as well as other projects involving cast and crew of the Whedonverse. Hosting pub nights, supporting the annual Can't Stop the Serenity charity events and running a Browncoat Booth at local conventions.
The Melbourne Social Forum – Aims to facilitate social change and the exploration of social alternatives that are socially just and ecologically sustainable. The forum hosts regular events and festivals.

Network Social Club – A non-profit social club that is aimed at building and maintaining friendships. The club members are primarily of the baby-boomer generation and singles and couples are welcome. All functions and activities are organised by members themselves and a committee is elected each year to undertake the administrative tasks. Each member is encouraged to run a function at least once per year.
