In the hinterland, 20kms west of Noosa Heads is the town of Eumundi. For most of the week the streets are sleepy, except for Wednesdays and Saturdays, well-known for the Eumundi markets.
Market days are hectic, it’s difficult to find a park, the crowds are huge, but there is always an abundance of entertainment, food, art, craft, jewellery and pretty much anything!
During the rest of the week locals and tourists are kept entertained with rival pubs, Joe’s Waterhole (a well established live music venue) and the Imperial Hotel, both are found on the main street just a few doors away from each other. There are also café’s and boutiques.
- Eumundi Markets – Every Wednesday and Saturday. During December and January there is a twilight market on Thursday nights.
