Rozelle Sydney NSW 2039
Rozelle is an inner-western suburb next to Balmain, connected to Pyrmont and the CBD by the Anzac Bridge. Darling Street, which runs through Rozelle and into Balmain, is lined with restaurants, cafes, and boutique shopping.
Small pubs are dotted throughout the residential streets of Rozelle, reflecting the working class origins of the area. The terrace houses are now occupied largely by professionals and a surprising number of dogs. At the north of the suburb is Iron Cove. In recent decades large apartment complexes have been built with views over the water.
The Rozelle Markets are held on Saturdays and Sundays through most of the year in the grounds of Rozelle Public School on Darling Street. The markets are known for second-hand goods, ranging from bargains and retro items to rare collectables and antiques. There is some food available in the markets, and Darling Street is lined with cafes if you want a coffee or meal.
The Iron Cove Bridge (continuous with Victoria Road) connects Rozelle to Drummoyne. Around the foreshore of Iron Cove is a well constructed and popular pedestrian and cycle path known as the Bay Run, which starts near the Rozelle end of the Iron Cove Bridge.
Lightrail stop Rozelle Bay is at the very south of the suburb. Buses run along Darling Street and Victoria Road.
