Beechworth

Beechworth is an historic goldrush town in Victoria’s High Country region. You can turn off the Hume Highway at Chiltern to drive to Beechworth or from Wodonga, take the shorter but slower 44km route along the Beechworth-Wodonga Road. Beechworth is 35 km east of Wangaratta along the Great Alpine Road.

Beechworth has many National Trust listed buildings including the Powder Magazine, and Beechworth Court House, where Ned Kelly stood trial. The Beechworth Celtic Festival is an annual festival includes a series of concerts and workshops, Celtic food and a street parade.
